'The Condemned' - High-Def Digest review

Just posted Kenneth's review of 'The Condemned.' Like nearly all critics, he hated the film itself, but as a Blu-ray release, he says this one's surprisingly strong, boasting a near demo-quality excellent video transfer, a solid audio package, and a lengthy series of supplements.

The girlfriend loves mindless action movies so I'll probably end up getting this for her sometime down the road. I'll hold off as long as I can though.

Why did they use DTS-HD?

On a 50GB disc with no features, why did they use DTS-HD? They used to use LPCM on most of there titles. I am just glad they gave The Decent PCM. :)

Are they switching because of bandwidth issues? Can somebody please explain?

-dad:confused:

I was under the impression that the Panasonic player was firmware updated to decode DTS-HD? That and along with its 7.1 analog outputs could decode and output full DTS-HD High Resolution audio.

i personally enjoyed this alot. It could be because my bar was set very low but it was mindless fun. It was everything I expected from The Marine that i did not get. If you saw The Marine youll know what a horrible film that was. Not that this is some great film of our time it is just a enjoyable popcorn type flick. Plus Vinnie Jones is great in it lol

I'm waiting for my copy of this to arrive.

LembasBread , the Panasonic can decode DTS-HD High Resolution, this disc and House of 1,000 Corpses are encoded with DTS-HD Master Audio. Master Audio is also what Fox is using as well for all there titles.
