I will have to agree with just about everyone else here and say that list is pretty bad overall.

Doesn't matter that it's alphabetical, where's 'Planet Earth', 'Bolt', 'Kung Fu Panda', 'PotC: Dead's Man Chest', and 'Apocalypto'.

'Ratatouille' and 'Wall-E' should be in the top 5. The list has a few good titles, but even 'Doomsday' looks better than 'Black Hawk Down'. And as much as the movie may suck, 'Australia' is phenomenal looking compared to their top ten.

This is a terrible list.

Eh, it's not a strong list... Also it looks to me like a lot of it reads like it's a best of durring the format war list. Where's the band of brothers? The godfather collection? I would argue the disney classics should be there, Pinocchio in particular had astounding picture quality.

Yeah but owning them isnt the same as calling them Must-Have discs! I have a few of them too, and Ratatouille is sweet, but none are ground-breaking titles.

I'd still use Cars as my "friend who's never seen BD before" demo disk before any on CNET's list. Some of the choices seem kinda arbitrary.

RED is demo quality discs, both video and sound.
BLUE can also be used to demo your system, but not as highly as red.
GREEN is more personal choice --- meh, if you want to show it, it's still good, but still not a sure bet to sell your friends on Blu-ray.

The rest are hardly must-haves for demoing your system. Of course, take that with a grain of salt, as it is only my opinion, but there's only three from the list with a couple of blue ones which I use as reference.

The fact that I, Robot and Apocalypto aren't on the list, yet look better than most of the stuff on there is depressing.
