'Black Sheep' - High-Def Digest Review

Nate Boss has reviewed 'Black Sheep.' He says this is a truly awful film (Editor's Note: It IS. I've hated this movie since I saw it for FREE in 1996). This Blu-ray is a surprise, with strong video and audio, but not one extra. This is a rental.

Never saw this one, but Tommy Boy hasn't aged all that well, so I don't imagine this did either.

However, I love what these kind of releases represent: a format that is filling in the blanks in terms of releases and completeness.

I mean, if Black Sheep is out, can movies like Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure be far behind?

Agreed, Always thought this should have simply been titled Tommy Boy 2. I liked Tommy Boy for what it was back in the day, but it does feel very dated at this point.

People gotta watch the Siskel review at www.atthemoviestv.com.. Hilarious, one of 2 movies Siskel ever walked out on.

Yeah see the thing with Chris Farley's movies is that for the most part the plots were ridiculous, terrible and unbelievable. BUT...Farley made these movies hilarious for me. He was a genius he could take the crappiest subject matter and turn it into comedy gold. The movies that he did just wouldn't have worked with anyone else and would have been forgotten. David Spade was also a very big plus with Farley they had such a great comedic chemistry.

I love Chris Farley, and his Matt Foley sketch is still one of my favorite bits of comedy period. Now, I didn't think Black Sheep was nearly as bad as Nate, but it wasn't a good movie. It was kind of a less funny redo of Tommy Boy. The only memorable scene for me in the movie was when he tries to make a speech for his brother at the Mudhoney concert. Kill Whitey!

One star? Craziness.

Good call! God I miss these two! You can just see Spade thinking, "Let's get this crap over with so I can go hit on the girl at craft services."

Loved Tommy Boy. I must agree though that Black Sheep just wasn't that funny. I already own Tommy Boy on Blu, I'll pass on this.
