While my favorite James Bond actor is Roger Moore, I like Sean Connery and almost all of his JB movies with the exception of Diamonds are Forever. As for Roger Moore, I like The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker. Yes, I said Moonraker and I don't care if it's the cheesiest of the Bond movies, it's the 1st JB movie I watched (on TV) so there say what you want. Come on, Lois Chiles, Corinne Clery, Emily Bolton, the French countryside, Venice, Rio and cheesy special effects in "space" with a preview of the space shuttle launch two years before the actual event in 1981, what else can I say ?

I never liked Dalton and I liked Pierce Brosnan better as Remington Steele. I mean he wasn't bad, but for me he's like many actors who are at their best on my TV and don't translate their performance as well onto the big screen. Daniel Craig on the other hand is the best James Bond since Connery/Moore (more like Connery, but a little like Moore as well). I didn't like Casino Royale that much, but it did show his potential and hopefully Quantum of Solace is a better vehicle for him to bring out this potential to its maximum. Anyway, I'm looking forward to his new movie and a release of Moonraker. Take that.

Any further news on the rest of the Bond films coming to Blu Ray?

I noticed at the end of the Ultimate Edition 007 films on DVD, there are credits for the Lowry remastering. The first 9 films are scanned at 4K and the others are not.

Will they scan the rest at 4K for Blu Ray?

Thanks!

i really hope sony isnt going to screw us bd lovers out of the upcomming special edition reissue of casino royale that i read about over on the digital bits comming out on june 3rd

"Sony has just announced a 3-disc Casino Royale: Collector's Edition for release on DVD on 6/3. Extras will include audio commentary by members of the crew, deleted scenes, 3 documentaries (The Road to Casino Royale, Becoming Bond and James Bond: For Real), 8 featurettes (Paying Taxes, Rescue & Recovery, Old Boyfriend?, James Bond in the Bahamas, The Art of the Freerun, Death in Venice, Catching a Plane: From Storyboard to Screen and Ian Fleming: The Secret Road to Paradise), the Bond Girls are Forever TV special, a storyboard sequence for the Freerun Chase, filmmaker profiles and Chris Cornell's You Know My Name music video. There's no word on a Blu-ray version."

Agreed, the 3 disc DVD of Casino Royale SHOULD also be released on Blu Ray. I hope Sony comes through.

Unless it is an extended version or something, i seriously doubt anyone would buy this again on Blu-ray just for the special features. I am sure Sony knows this.

No one except Die hard Bond fans would duoble dip, but there are new blu-ray users all the time, I'm sure some of them would be intersted in buying it.

Don't know if this has been covered but they recently played most of the Bond movies on HD cable up here (in 1080i), so I guess they were from the HD masters. But in 1080p? I don't know. They looked ok for the most part if a bit flat. My biggest surprise was that I found most of em pretty dull... because I used to lovelovelove them when I was a kid. But I still have a soft spot for Live And Let Die and License to Kill for some reason.

I have a feeling we may hear something closer to the release of Quantum Of Solace, which I'm really looking forward to. I really dig Craig as bond.
