It's funny how different people rank the Bond films. I like Licence to Kill but think Man With the Golden Gun is a big ol' turkey.

Just about the only thing all Bond fans agree on is that Moonraker sucks.

Unfortunately, knowing Fox, they'll announce some titles, then postpone them at the last minute, then postpone them again, then cancel them, then re-announce them, then postpone them again.
lol, true .

People are right, at this point, many will prefer upscaling their UEs, than buy again films they bought already at least 4 times in their lifetime.

There's some money to make with a SE of Casino Royale thought (the UE can come later when Bond 23 is released)

Hold on to your hat, I've got some Moonraker-love comin' at ya'.

Actually, this was the very first Bond movie I ever saw in the theater, so there's still a soft-spot for it for me. Not long afterward, I remember seeing a Connery film festival in a local 70mm-size theater (before it got chopped into a multiplex). I quickly was schooled on who's the real Bond.

However, although Moonraker was perhaps the height of Roger Moore cheese, I still enjoy the exotic locales & globe-trotting of the movie, not to mention that Lois Chiles was a pretty classy 'Bond-girl' (IMHO), regardless of her character's less-than-classy name.

My big concern with Bond on BD (outside of having to buy an $800 20pk all at once ) is that "Never Say Never Again" would get lost in the shuffle. I know that on DVD, MGM wound-up owning the rights to this 'lost Bond' again. But, I don't know if that's still the case.

Anyway... back to the topic: anyone heard anything substantial on rumors of an HD release?

You say that as if it were a bad thing.

Never Say Never Again started as a Warner Bros. production, but the rights shifted to MGM a few years ago.

Never Say Never Again is just a rip off of the franchise, how they ever got Connery to do that movie is way beyond my comprehension. And who honestly cares if they will include it or not. I just want the older Bonds, with Goldeneye being one of my favorites, and was my favorite up until Casino Royal came out which has the same director.
