Default What are some "MUST OWN" Import Blu-ray's?

I am looking for some feedback from other forum members about Import Blu-Ray's. I have recently joined Netflix and I figure if I like a title I will buy it. Instead of my old way of buying everything. Blind Buy's with the movie being terrible is to common these day's, then I am stuck with a BD that I will never watch again.

Then I asked myself what else am I missing out on?

I have found cool imports like Son of Rambow and The Good, The Bad, and The Weird, an I thought to myself are there more of these hidden gems out there?

There must be. So I come to you my fellow forum members to ask:

What are your favorite Import BD's, what is good about the movie/disc, and where can I find them?

I am open to just about any movie too. I just want to know what other people have found in the foreign market that I should check out.

So help me out. PLEASE!

Japanese version of The Good, The Bad And The Weird is out in a few weeks. It will have both the International cut and the longer Korean cut. I have heard that Anvil: The Story of Anvil is great if your into the metal scene which I'll just assume you are. Sometimes its just a thing where a transfer on a certain movie is better on the import than the domestic version. Little things like that to consider too.

Let the Right One in from AmazonUK as it has the proper subtitles.

Now are there different versions of this BD because I read the PQ on Equilibrium is dreadful? Not sure which version. I think I read it on Amazon UK.

The Japanese is the only one with the correct aspect ratio.

Looks like this could be better than the UK version released last June. Have you found any good prices on this? Let me know.

I will look into this title and let you know how it goes if I give it a try.

I am always looking to find that next hidden gem of a movie.

I have read about the aspect ratio being different, but I have also read that the BD looks like an upconverted SD. Not good at all.

Have you seen the Japanese version? If so, what did you think?

Whaere can you find it at the best price?

The Japanese import has OAR and good PQ. The Canadian and UK releases have cropped/modified picture frame and poor PQ.
