I bought this title on release day. The box set is beautiful and carries over virtually all of the extras from the long OOP Subversive DVD release. It is also a superb transfer and is a fantastic debut on BD for this criminally forgotten and underrated horror classic from director Richard Stanley.

Oh, wow! One of my longtime favorites and the artwork looks beautiful. I'm very tempted.

Did you know that Richard Stanley has a new film coming out next year with Nicolas Cage? It'll be his first feature in over twenty years!

Movies are so rarely great art that if we cannot appreciate great trash
we have very little reason to be interested in them.

Frankly I would succumb to temptation and pick this one up. Transfer is superb and finally Dust Devil is in HD. Given the time it has taken for Dust Devil to appear on HD, I doubt that there will be a UHD release for absolutely ages. Come to think of it, I'm not holding my breath for another territory to release this on BD either.

No I am unaware of this forthcoming film from Stanley - really good news if ever there was some!

This is very true. The source used for my DVD copy, sadly, looks dated and badly aged. I'm sure this will be a terrific improvement.

Yes there is a big difference between this and the DVD - here are some quick caps to give some idea:

And some more - grain is nicely defined on this BD too:
