Or even perform better, despite the many flaws of the Samsung player. Everything I have ever own by Philips was worthless...sorry.

This Blu-ray player is still in stock at Wal-mart at the unbelievably low price of $898.00. Someone needs to buy it and give us a review!

I just don't see a lot of Wal-Mart shoppers paying $950 - $1,000 (with sales tax) for a DVD player. A few audio/videophiles may but the general public will not. Now $600 for a PS3 may be a different story, but not a stand alone DVD player. Of course I could be wrong!

Why do you call it a DVD player? That is kinda like calling a Aston Martin a CD player.
