Default Samsung 1400 Firmware Question

I have the 1400 model and I haven't upgraded the firmware yet. I found the newest firmware from these boards and downloaded it. I was told to burn it to a cd and put it into the player. When I do this nothing seems to be happening. I went into the menu and accessed the "System Upgrade" menu and selected "Upgrade Start" and it said that I have to leave it in 'No Disc' state for it to start.

I don't know if this has an impact on it at all but when I burnt it I just burnt the entire folder since the file wouldn't go onto the disc.

Does anyone know what I'm doing wrong??

make sure you have a program that can burn an ISO file, it's contained in the .zip file you get. It should fit on a standard CD. Once burned and finalized, open the player, put in disc and the player will start the process. It will tell you when it's done.

Is there a way to request discs sent to your home rather than burning them?

I'm not sure. There is a way to connect to the internet and download it but I never got it to work so I had to burn it.

it depends on who you get when you call samsung. some of the cs people say they do not make new firmware cd updates availble through the mail. they claim they only offer through online via either you burning a cd or hooking your player to the net. but if you push hard enough and get through to a manager or supervisor ive heard from some people on here they will send the firmware update via mail for the 1400
