Default Which blu-ray player equal the Xa2?

I have a Xa2 and i would like to know which blu-ray player can be compared to the xa2. I therm of build quality, HD images, sound decoding, everything except SD definition or upconvert cause i use xa2 for Dvds. Player i have in mind is Pana BD30, am i right?

Suggestion would be great.

Yeah that would be your closest bet. Except if you don't have an HDMI 1.3 receiver the Panasonic doesn't have internal decoders for TrueHD or DTS-HD MA so you can't get those through the 5.1 analogs it has.

Default Pioneer Elite

Try the Pioneer BDP-95FD, very expensive, but quality is unbeatable.

Are there any BD players right now that internally decode DTS-MA and True HD?

No. Wait till spring for the Denon 3800 and Panny BD-50. Sony has one coming as well later this year.

I was just talking to my Hi Def rep yesterday and he was talking about the Denon 3800.Although the Reon Chip apparently is what makes the XA2 so good.I have the XA2 and Panny BD10, and the BD10 doesn't touch it.I don't think any of the BD units have the Reon chip.
Marantz is also coming out with what is supposed to be very good at about $2100.00.

Samsung uses the Reon chip in the 1200 and I think the 5000.

As for the Marantz, I wonder how similar it will be to the Denon since both companies are owned by the same parent company.

I too own the Panny 10A and the Tosh XA2 and I disagree with you. The Panny is a fantastic picture and sound for half the money (at the time). The Reon chip in my XA2 actually didn't impress me all that much more. Now that I have the Sammy UP5000 I can see what the reon chip can really do when used right. I think the Sammy duo puts the XA2 in the history books. If you think the Toshiba did a great job at upconversion of SD DVD, you have got to try this new Samsung. And you need to know that I was very hesitant about coming on board with Samsung. Both the 1200 and UP5K have the REON in it and they both play Blurays.
