Default What's a Blu-ray player that I won't want to throw out the window?

I'd like to a stand alone player that will play Sunshine without freezing, and all my other titles without any audio problems.

Can anyone recommend such a unit?

Thank you.

The only one that I have seen with the least amount of issues is the Ps3.

PS3 is probably your only option.

First of all, you should list the equipment that you're using, then go from there.

If you're looking for a 1.1 compliant stand alone Blu-ray player, then look no further than the Panasonic DMP-BD30K.

Good luck.

Good luck.
From what I hear though the BD30K has had some issues with Sunshine (which the OP wants to avoid). Of course with firmware updates almost ANY player could fit the needs of the OP. The Ps3 though seems to be the most trouble free out of all the current players though.

I haven't had a bit of trouble with my Sony BDPS300.

Plays 1.1 discs flawlessly.

Be sure to update the firmware to version 3.70

Agree that the PS3 is the most trouble-free player, and I would heartily recommend one above all others. That said, the original poster intimated that he wanted a stand alone player, unless I'm misinterpreting his original post.

Thanks for the suggestions. I was leaning towards the Panasonic. But that Sony sounds good too. Any luck playing Sunshine on it?
