Default Did PS3's go up in price?

I was in my Walmart tonight and I noticed that the 2 PS3 60GB models were $697 Canadian. I'm pretty sure they were only $660 before. What gives?

No they didn't go up in price. Likely difference in currency. But a co-worker can't find one. They are hard to get in my area. Major US city.

The MSRP remains the same, but as illegalprelude said, some retailers are raising their prices and taking advantage of the continued smaller shipments to Canada. Embracing the S in MSRP basically, and it really has nothing to do with the current exchange rate.

yea, if you shop around, you should still find plenty of stores with MSRP and not the upped prices

Default yeah .. they did

hey, in response to if the PS3 went up in price?
i work at best buy.. it did go up in price..
had nothing to do w/ sony.. or anything
i think best buy / major retailers decided they wanted to make money off of it finally (our cost was literally 659.99 at launch ... Canadian Dollars.. eh)
but yeah.. it went up in price..
now major retailers wanna make 50 random dollars off it instead of help sony sell them at an already high price.
if you want the money off of it, swindle the salesperson w/ the performance service plan , that usually lets em drop it..
then you get longer warranty coverage on your ps3 anyways
