Default Best Blu-Ray SA player?

I'm thinking of going neutral and was wondering what is the best SA Blu-Ray player on the market?

Problem with the panasonic is it doesnt internally decode TruHD or DTS HD. As for another recommendation, I personally cant come up with anything. I think if you are buying today you should get a 1.1 compliant player but there isnt a stand alone BD player out there today that meets this requirement. Only ones mentioned are Panasonic and Pioneer. Might be better off waiting for the new universal player from Samsung that is coming out in Dec. I think price is around 800 but you get both HD and BD playback capabilities not to mention 1.1 compliance on the BD side.

I am going to move this to the Blu-ray Hardware section as you might get a better response there.

In this case, I will sit tight for the next few weeks & see what will happen in Dec. Meanwhile, my BD movies are piling up.

Could you expand on what exactly you are looking for in a player?
Is it quality hardware? Spec standards?
If I'm not mistaken, the Pioneer players provide the best image... but all answers would depend on what you are looking for in the player..

Quality hardware would be one thing. I want one that I don't have to worry about putting away and then buying a new one in like 6 months.
