Default HDMI Cable Length

Question:

I'm using a 2 metre HDMI --->> DVI 400 series Monster Cable for connection between my Sony BDP-S300 player and my Samsung 720P DLP TV.

Is there anyone else, using a similar connection combination ?? If so, are you having any problems with intermitent DVD picture freezing ????

I'm trying to determine whether the freezing problem is a result of the way I'm hooked up or is the DVD player which I've since taken in for service.

The 400 series cable is braided and tough. It could be much, much longer and you'd never have any problems. I have that same cable, same length hooking up my receiver and my tv and I've never had any problems.

There's been some handshaking problems with HDMI with some components, but if you get a picture, then that's not an issue. The picture freezing is because of yor player.
