Exclamation Wanna laugh? Blu ray & 480I maybe 720p?

My friend has a Mitsubishi HD 1080i tv he bought in 2003 nice TV 55" WS.

Anyways he bought several Blu rays and tried to play the movies in component video connection I guess it's 720 maybe?? anyways when he puts a disc in his Samsung BD p-1000 with newest firmware upgrade the movies say it can not play in this video please upgrade. Now he has about 20 movies and can not get any to work but Scooby Doo did play, hmm not sure why.

I told him to upgrade his receiver and get a newer tv with HDMI connections.

His Onkyo is a nice 4800 AVR but no HMDI connections just comp -outs.

what do you guys think??

Default

There is probably a video setting that is wrong in the player. Could you post the exact error message and the exact movie?
