Samsung is cheaper and does DTS-HDMA. Although the motorized door on the Sony is pretty awesome.

I bought the 1400 2 weeks ago and I haven't had a single thing go wrong with it. The audio decoding is a bonus but the picture is awesome (Spidey 3 was incredible)
You don't realize how bland DVD is until you start watching movies in HD.

Eventhough, the Sony PlayStation 3 (80GB) is one of the Top End players out there, I'm thinking of upgrading to a SA...

Can we get Specs/Features on the two choices...too lazy to Google.

I'm keen on this Samsung player. Does it decode DTS-HDMA internally or send out as bitstream for the AVR to decode? Tnx

I can confirm that the Sony BDPS500 does bitstream Dolby TrueHD, so it may be upgradeable to DTS HDMA
