Default Tough Decision To Keep Panasonic DMP-BD10A? Must Decide Tonight

I recently bought the Toshiba HD-A2 and I am currently ebaying the five week old Panny DMP-BD10A. I have about a day left before the ebay listing ends. I am not sure if I sure if I should end the listing early and keep it. I only can keep one of them: either the A2 or the DMP-BD10A. My only fear on the Panny is that it may not play the movies the have BD profile 1.1. My fear on the A2 is that the HD-DVD might die with in next year. Which one would you choose right now? Please be honest and do not recommend a PS3, cause it has a loud fan.

I would keep the Toshiba A2 as you know that it can handle everything that HD DVD has to offer and there is no sign that HD DVD is dying out anytime soon and if it does then you can always pick up a blu ray player in the future that is able to support BD profile 1.1

let the Panny go. The only player I recommend right now is the PS3. Your other option as already stated is to wait a bit longer to buy a standalone.

I decided to let go of the Panny and use the Toshiba HD-A2 for dvd upscaling and HD-DVD movies. I'll probably end up getting a HD-DVD/Bluray combo player next year or a PS3 (revised version with quieter fan, runs cooler, takes less energy, and of course the great ps3 games that will be coming out) next year to replace my Xbox 360 Elite. I still enjoy playing my 360.

I've never heard the fans on my PS3 ever, the 360 is by far the noisier of the 2 for running films / games

I would go with a PS3 now if you want a future proof blu ray, keep the HD player HD isnt dying anytime soon, think Transformers, Shrek3, Bourne Ultimatum, Knocked Up I could go on

Although there are great reasons to have Blu Ray too, hence I am format neutral, depends on what films you want and how they are split betweeen formats
