Default HDTV colour resolution question.

Hi guys

I have spent the last week tweaking Media Player Classic on a media player that I have connected to a 40" Sony HDTV. The PQ and AQ are excellent, I think I have found the butter zone for the audio and video playback settings.

The only possible complaint I have is, the TV doesn't seem to be able to handle the full colour gamut. I had to switch the colour resolution to (Y:16-235, CbCr:16-240) instead of (Y:0-255, CbCr:1-255) The RGB colour space output just makes the colours look really overblown.

Are all HDTVs limited in this way, or are their HDTVs on the market that can handle the maximum RGB colour output?

Thanks in advance for your response.
