Not entirely sure if Toshiba has started making their own players yet, when the format war was over and Toshiba started making players, the mechanisms were a result of a Samsung partnership.

Judging from the sleek look of it, the design resembles the new Samsung FX series players. Look a little closer to see if it has internal memory for BD Live or not. The complaint about the Samsung is that it does not have internal memory and requires a USB flash drive to occupy the one single USB port.

Just got mine yesterday (UK)

1st impressions are NOT good.

Took forever to get it to connect to wifi

Half the things on it don't work, especially the so called smart portal.
sluggish software.
fairly loud when you start playing movies

Doesn't seem to have any built in internal memory bit does have a usb slot of external memory

Think I'm going to box it back up and plug my panasonic bluray back in.

I would seriously consider buying a panasonic or sony as toshiba have lost their way.
