Default Pioneer Launches the BDP-150 3D Blu-ray Player

You'll find some nice file format compatibility and a few streaming options to boot.

Perhaps this is the player I wanted rather than the LG BD570 doorstop I own?

Wonder if it supports hard drives and NTFS like the LG does?

[Edit] Downloaded the manual and see it does support NTFS, FAT, FAT32, 2TB or less HDD, USB Flash 1GB or larger.

For whatever reason the LG does not support LPCM if it's in an MKV or what not despite that being standard dvd audio format.

Also a bit confused as the list MKV as a Divx format, ummm, no, it could be mpeg4 or avc.

MKV is a container format, not a codec. My experience with TVs that support MKV is that its pretty touch and go - some videos play fine, others do not.

I guess you COULD encode your video in Divx and put it in an MKV container, but not really sure why you would want to. But yeah, its possible that it doesn't support MP4 and AVC files (doesn't really make sense, though, it is a Blu-Ray player), which is why MKV is listed under Divx.

Back to the story, I don't really see why Flac isn't supported over the network. If you can stream PCM over the network, than its not like there are bandwidth issues.
