Has anyone been able to determine if this firmware update is infected with cinavia?

Also . .
What are folks' experience downloading and burning an update disc for Sony firmware updates these days? It used to be very reliable when Sony provided a disc image that you downloaded and simply "burned image to disc" (with imgburn, in my case). Now they provide a zip file with 2 files inside to burn to cd-r. The one time I tried using this newer method, my player refused to update. And since I've read that folks are bricking their machines using this method with some regularity. Is there a trick to doing this successfully? What file format disc should we make sure imgburn is creating to do this successfully?

quote from the Sony website support forum in response to a question I asked:

Re: BDP-S350, 550 & 1000ES firmware

Hello, If you are asking if we omit disclosure of features, no we do not.

please review the update for the BDP-S390 as an example
http://esupport.sony.com/US/p/swu-downl ... group_id=5

If cinavia is included in a firmware update it will feature this notation:
Note: This update includes Cinavia™ content protection technology. Information about Cinavia technology is provided at the Cinavia Online Consumer Information Center at: http://www.cinavia.com.
the BDP350 firmware Version:026 does not include the Cinavia update.

I received my BDP-S1000ES firmware update disc in the mail from Sony today (provided free of charge since the player is still under warranty). According to imgburn, it is a "ISO9660, Joliet" formatted CD-R (CDFS), 1 track, 1 session, closed/finalized, with the 2 firmware files sitting in the root directory, in case that helps anyone successfully make a firmware update disc from the download.

I downloaded the latest firmware update for the S350/S550 & burned it to a CD-R following Sony's instructions exactly (Windows 7 Pro/64).

I have now installed firmware 026 on both my S350 & S550 with no problems and they both work fine.
I also did some testing and can confirm the players have remained free of cinavia as promised by Sony tech support.
