Default Samsung BD-P1200 sound issues

Hello folks. Hopefully you can shed some light for me.

I have the Samsung BD-P1200 & a Toshiba HD-A2.

For now I'm using a Sony 5-disk DTS DVD player to run the sound until I can afford a suitable upgrade.

I'm using optical cables out of each high def player into a optical splitter that goes in to the optical in on the DTS player.

Although I can't use any uncompressed options I can use DTS sound options.

My problem is this, when watching the Samsung Blu Ray player, no sound comes out of my center speaker.

It does when watching the Toshiba HD player.

Any reason why?

Thanks in advance.

Perhaps it's a splitter issue?? Try swapping the spots on the splitter and then see if the A2 loses the center channel. Perhaps it's a defective port/cable from the splitter???
