Default Noah 3D reviews?

Only released internationally, so U.S. 3D fans have to import it.

Anyone seen Noah 3D in the theaters internationally? Or will you
review your foreign 3D blu?

It's a conversion. Paramount's sales pitch:
"In addition to the 3D several scenes were altered to better accommodate the 3D, according to Corey Turner, VP of 3D Post Production at Paramount. Turner was part of a panel discussion hosted by the International 3D & Advanced Imaging Society at Paramount on April 23 following a special screening of the film. Its a different movie, Turner said, noting that they completely re-did the rain scene and altered the battle scene, among many other smaller changes. The battle scene was first to be tackled and involved removing a lot of practical rain (real water) and inserting other elements.
The most important work was in reel 1 and reel 4 (near the beginning and end of the film), Turner said.
Deluxe 3Ds Executive VP and Chief Creative Officer Aaron Parry said there were 273 converted shots. Prime Focus Worlds Chairman and CEO Namit Malhotra said his company had more than 1,500 people working on the project, which involved about 84 minutes of the film."

I would wonder if one of the staff here is a big enough fan to want to import it.
Don't hold your breath (but you never know.)

It just seems much easier to film in 3D to begin with. I know that doesn't apply to all situations, but when you have to remove actual rain to allow for adding in effects, it sounds...silly.

Holy cow, that brings back memories.

I guess you must buy from them regularly and recommend them.

YesAsia has 3 different versions to choose from for 3D, including a "Steel box" version.
$37.99 being the cheapest one available including shipping.

Does dddhouse include free shipping? I had never had a single issue with YesAsia.

I thought I saw Limey mention the UK release was in fact region free as well.

I just watched this in 3D last night on my 110" screen. Aside from a hand full of good shots, the 3D was very mild to almost non-existent. It's a shame because we had my wife's family over to watch this so she went out and bought 2 more 3D glasses so we could all watch it in 3D. I felt bad showing them my great 3D setup with such a disappointing 3D presentation. I apologised to everyone when it was over about the bland 3D. Even my wife thought it was underwhelming. Much of the movie does not lend itself to a good conversion anyway. Too many close up dialog scenes which distorted faces. Definitely not worth the price to import! Definitely not worth the 3D disc at all.
