I did a great deal of research online and in person in the stores. I Compared both formats side-by-side on duplicate displays and talked endlessly with sales people and techies.
Finally, one day in November of 2007 I went out store grazing with by brother. We ended up in FutureShop in the electronics section. The Bourne Supremacy was playing on a HD-A30 using a Sharp Aquos 46 inch FullHD display. Both my brother and I were awestruck. We couldn't take our eyes off it. It was so clean, so....so perfect. It was a moment of pure clarity in more ways than one. I bought the Sharp Aquos on the spot and said to my brother that I'd get the HD-A30 in January once I had rebuilt my bank account. Christmas came and my brother surprised me with the A30 as a gift along with 10 movies, (not counting the 2 included or the 5 mail in). One of the movies that came in the box was The Bourne Identity and one of the 10 movies my brother got me was The Bourne Ultimatum. Only having one more Bourne to get, the one that had originally sold me on HD DVD, I finally got The Bourne Supremacy today. ![]() Bourne, Bourne and Bourne. That's what did it for me. (Oh, and maybe a great Sharp display and an even better Toshiba player. ) |

Agreed. A great trilogy. Let's just hope it stays exclusive for a while.

On Bourne Ultimatum I noticed motion blur on my LED DLP for the first time. {spoiler WARNING- if you havent seen the movies move along please}
When Bourne starts swimming at the end I could see the blur of his swimming strokes in the water, it was the only time I have seen motion blur on my DLP, so I cant complain I suppose. I have watched plenty of other water scenes, so it must have been something to do specifically with the way it was shot. |

Terrific choice. I'm looking to upgrade my television myself. I will have to look into the Sharp Aquos.
BTW if you have not seen Serenity, or Transformers on HD DVD yet I highly recommend them. |
