Default Planet Earth made me do it

I received Planet Earth for my birthday back in June of this year from a friend of mine that knew I was eventually going to get some sort of HD player. then it sat there for months collecting dust until I got in on a pre order for a HD a3. That combined with the price of the players pushed me to hd-dvd but if the prices were reversed and the blu players were the cheaper ones I would probably have a blu ray player and my planet earth would still be collecting dust.

PS I do plan on eventually going purple, there are just too many good movies in that format that I want to see in HD

dual is the way to go, but hd dvd is the best to get into first, and planet earth is probially one of the best selling titles out there... and with good reason.

PE is great. I just recieved Relentless Enemies which is good but not as good as PE. Waiting on Blue Planet to arrive from Amazon and holding out until Galapagos goes on sale. Yes, I'm a sucker for nature

Blue Planet is a bit dated with some bad science but Planet Earth is stunning.

planet earth was the first disc that came to mind when i was thinking about what to get on hd dvd. i would have prefered the discovery channel version since that's the one i first saw and i like sigourney weaver's voice better than the british man's voice but it's still an awesome hd dvd.
