Talking Chalk up another fan for HD DVD

I recently went to the HD DVD format about a month ago and I must say I am rather impressed. Being a diehard Matrix fan I purchased the fancy Ultimate set with all the HD extras and so forth. The only thing I could say was holy*&%#. My HD TV is about 2.5 years old and only plays in 1080i, but I thought it was good as a 1080p picture especially since it is a 46". For anyone wanting to purchase a good set for HD DVD this is it.

Haha, welcome. Have a friend who came to the red side because of matrix too. All 3 of those films received amazing treatment. Although I must say, I can only take so much of Morpheus' crater face.

You are so right. HD certainly brought out Fishburne's ugliness. He looks like someone shot him with birdshot. Thanks for the warm welcome as well.

I have always wanted to go Red but didn't really want to just yet. My parents on the other hand, went Red last week. I watched 3 movies and holy cow, I can't watch anything else now...god I hate that LOL! Anyway, I now have 3 here, 9 on order from amazon and now 5 coming from Toshiba (I know they don't give you a good choice for the free movies but hell, it's free!)

Congrats on your purchase. I have owned my player for 4 months and the quality has been top notch. I would never have experienced the joy of watching movies in high def if it weren't for HD-DVD value.
