The biggest reason why I went with HD DVD is that it is the better deal for your money. I admit I don't have a high end system, as I'm only using the Xbox 360 HD DVD player. When I got it, it was priced at $200, which is still cheaper than even the standalone HD DVD drives.
I am against Blu-Ray (this is the only time you'll ever see me use that term) because of the insanely high prices for the players that were released. PlayStation3 aside, not many people were able to spend $1,000 (when I purchased my drive) for a player. Even with the prices coming down, they're still too much for many people. Hence my reason for the term Blu-PAY. Aside from the affordable price, HD DVD has also wowed me with the interactive features that really enhance the experience. First disc I was able to truly test out was Fast and Furious: Tokyo Drift, and the U-control features were quite impressive. I am looking forward to see how 300 will look in HD DVD with the In-Movie Experience intact.
