Default The Reason Why I Went Blu..........

Hey everyone I am new here and just want to say hello and I look forward to a long stay. This is my first post so here it goes. Why did I go Blu? Well first of all I bought just over a month ago a Sony 46inch Bravia HD and regular dvd's just didnt cut it anymore for me. I would sit at my local Best Buy and watch the trailers for Blu Ray and said this is the way to go and I also waited to for the Blu Ray/HD DVD war to come to an end. To be honest I would have gone Blu anyway because to me the picture just looked better. Anyhow with a big 46inch Bravia my Progressive scan 10 year old dvd player just wasnt it anymore and it was doing my HD tv an injustice so now I am a member of the world of Blu Ray. All I have to do now is hook up my new Sony BDP S350 Blu Ray player and I am set.

I bought Blu because i had too, there i said it....

Had it not been for the way things went in the HD market i was perfectly happy on HD DVD. But thats just the way the cookie crumbled, so now i have both, i enjoy both still, however i really wish i didnt need to have both. Ive built up such a HD DVD collection im not going to sell it. I really dont want to pay more money for films i own on HD. Everything else from here is Blu for me. But that thirty something movies i own on HD will not be replaced anytime soon.

Greeting!!!!

I went Blu because I found a player for incredibly cheap. That's the only reason. And I'll only be renting titles.

The hardware is still immature and expensive; The titles are grossly overpriced; And I'm still bitter about the way Sony won the war.
