Default I Went Blu Because HD DVD died

I'm not trying to start anything here. I've just decided to start up a thread for us HD DVD supporters that will be going Blu because of HD DVD's demise. I look forward to stepping into the BLU. Anyone have any suggestions??

In reality, I am p*ssed. I don't want anything to do with Sony....period. I hate the fact that they will be getting my money and think that I will stop buying movies because of this. I never really got hardcore into my hd dvd buying but I was glad that sony wasn't getting my money. I hate having to give in to it, but that is my only choice and I am sure that I won't care later on down the road.

My plan is to get a combo player for the living room, and pick up a cheap hd dvd player for the bedroom.

And another thing, I loved the shnazzy menus that I had while the movie was playing, guess I got to go back to the old school days of having lame menus. Thanks for moving us forward blu ray....you rock

Have you ever bought a CD? If so, thanks for supporting Sony.

I doubt you have a good reason to hate Sony.. and if you do you should hate almost every corp. Microsoft was on Toshiba's side and they are easily as evil as Sony. Sounds like your bitter. Let that go and enjoy all your HD movies on one format!

Everyone has there products they hate....you know that RROD thats such a big deal now, well If you can remember that far ago, the PS2 had a crapload of problems.....and it just so happened that I got 4 of them that had problems. You ever look at a crutchfield and look at car audio prices....notice how comparable models between sony and pany or any brand for that matter, sony sells there's for 10 to 20% more, because they think they can charge extra on name recognition. But you know what, you're right! I don't have a good reason to hate sony. I should think that microsoft is evil...because they have always treated me soooo bad. Well, all these horror stories on the internet about how bad customer support is for MS....never happened to me, so my perception is sony sucks, ms doesn't. and for the record....just so we are clear on all of this....and you can stop making assumptions. I have not bought a cd since 2000. I like my digital downloads. So do you have anything else that you would like to criticize me on since you know me so well.

Of all my HD DVDs, I have yet to see one that blows me away with its menus. Sorry, but it's true. Every Universal release I have has the exact same menu setup, and there's nothing exciting about that.

I've had some great menus with many Blu-rays. The Disney releases are top notch, and I thought the Superbad menu was pretty sweet. Honestly, I think HD DVD menus pale in comparison.

Sony does have a production label/record label, so even if you digital download I doubt you've never ever somehow benefited Sony. I mean its possible, ya know, but go ahead and say how none of them are on that label

Not to mention you've probably seen a bunch of Sony movies. Sony is in almost everything in the electronics ind. Sony also pushed a lot of innovative tech ideas forward threw out the years.

Now that it's over I'm going on a BD spree looking for titles that I would like to get and add them to my shopping list.

Add me to the list that went purple with the end of HD DVD production. Frankly I would have been just fine with Paramount, and Universal being the only major studios. But that is neither here, or there now.

HD DVD will always be my preferred format of choice, but I have promissed myself I would give BD a chance. With that said, I look forward to a great digital future.

You have had 4 PS2's? Damn. I got my Ps2 about 4 months after it was released and it still works great today.

As with the audio, Sony can charge what ever they want. They are not forcing you to buy it. You must really hate Bose huh? Do you like Nike? Name brands sell.
