I was in Future Shop today to but the A2 and a laptop when an open box price of $399 for the 60gig PS3 caught my eye. Also got Bridge To Terabitha free and a mail in card for 5 more. I love movies what can i say, I'd rather have a stand alone but this will do in the mean time. I really have to say it is one of the ugliest machines i've owned since the 3DO.

I hope i enjoy and the A2 will have to wait till next payday.


Also bought Casino Royal (i'll give it another chance, just diddn't feel like Bond to me) and Total Recall (first dvd i bought in march 97, ahhh memories)

i agree with vooswing. i think the ps3's actually a very attractive box; certainly more so than the wii and 360.

regardless, welcome to the club.

i don't know if you ever read the original bond books by fleming, but if you haven't, take a look sometime. imo daniel craig's bond in CR comes closest to the fleming's bonds.

I think the PS3 looks a hellofalot sexier than the PS2! My only complaint is that its so bulky!

well i deffinetly have mixed feelings so far. Into the Blue, Bridge To Terabitha, Casino Royal & Deja Vu look Fantastic but no better than the best HD DVD's. I understand that XXX was one of the first Sony titles and looked abot 3 stars worth, But Total Recall was absolutly horrible. 4 stars it got for video on this site, out of 133 titles i own on both formats this was the worst of all it would get a 1 for video in my book. I can truly say this is the first one that was not worth the upgrad at all. Please tell me if the other early Lions Gate releases are the same, namley Terminator 2 ,Stargate, Saw, Crash & American Psycho because at this point i can say i can't trust these reviews on this site anymore. Also how does Chain Reaction, Speed and Rising Sun look?, will welcome all opinions.

It was an impulse buy and i'm sure i'll be screwed by them again, i have know faith in Sony products anymore, never will and not a big loss at $399 - $35(sold the controller) + $29 bought the remote

PS3 can look slick or ugly. It depends on angle you're looking at. Regardless, it gets major points for being unique looking.
