Default I have left HD DVD to sing the blues..

I have recently purchased a PS3, and will now be purchasing my movies for Blu-Ray this is manly because they will continue to get more and more exclsuive movies that I like. I believe it will eventually stamp out HD-DVD. THats not to say im chucking my HD-DVD player at the moment becasue I still have movies I may want to watch on it.

Next on my list is 300 and Pirates 1. (already got #2)

As a Blu-Rayer I have to ask, why are you going with Blu-Ray version of 300?

Not to downplay what you've said here, just curious.

With all of the spanking of the monkey and hard-ons that HDer's have gotten over the PiP of 300 I would have thought that anyone who has the option might lean in that direction.

Blu-ray version has uncompressed PCM as well as TrueHD.

If all you care about is the movie, you'd logically want the one with two seperate lossless audio tracks and the one that's cheaper.

Also, BD has more movies that are exclusive to it that I want to watch. (Like AVP, Pirates of Carribean, and the Spiderman movies if they ever go BD)

Format Neutral but buying 300 on blu for 3 reasons...

1) Dual Lossless tracks(This goes with the 360 argument, no lossless ability)
2) Not impressed with the Gimmicks, therefore, I will choose the less expensive of the two (combos are moronically priced)
3) I want this format war over quicker than not, so I will do whatever I can to support the format that is going to win, Blu.
