Campus Movie Fest

Hey, I don't know if anyone here as heard about this, but if anyone has participated that would be really cool.

Basically its a contest that travels around to different college campuses. They give you a camera, a macbook with finalcut pro and logic pro on it, a shotgun mic and 24/7 tech support for a week. In this one week you get to make a video and enter to be judged for several rewards. They have best picture, best drama, best comedy, and a few other awards. Their website is www.campusmoviefest.com

Me and my friends recently won Best Comedy at Ohio State, it can be seen right here I worked as DP and edited it with the director(I also designed the set at the beginning) So just wondering what you think about it and wondering if anyone else has heard about/participated in this contest...

Hmm, hate is a strong word, what didnt you like? At least we got you to turn around in the end.

There is a five minute limit that is observed very strictly, you cant even be a tenth of a second over. It ended up being extremely limiting for us and I think the studio scenes suffered the most. Obviously most of the comedy came from the songs and when we were writing the last song, it ended up a bit longer than we wanted it to be so we had to make the studio scenes really short plus we still had trouble editing it. I feel like the premise gets kind of rushed to get to the songs.
