Pixar fulfills dying girl’s wish to see ‘Up’
10-year-old with cancer couldn’t go to theater, studio brought DVD to house...
Pretty sad stuff...
Too bad she didn't get to see it with her own eyes.

I could ask whether the movie was that bad, but that would be insensitive to both the movie's greatness and to the girl herself.

What a difficult thing for a 10 year old girl to have to go through, I'm glad she's done with the pain though.
I'm glad she got to experience the film in some way though.

That's a very sad story.
And it makes me sick to know, that pharmaceutical companies already got some kind of cure against cancer, but won't release it due to pure greed.

Same here. I have a bad weakness for sick and dying kids, but there's nothing you can do except donating to give kids the world and other similar organizations. At least they can make those kids happy on the last days. I donated for many years myself, and I should start it up again.

Very sad story, and personally I find such proofless accusations that anyone would out of greed sit back with a "cure for cancer" and let people die distasteful. I also find it extrodenarly ignorant, there is no such thing as "a cure for cancer", there isn't just "cancer", there are many different cancers which do not all respond to treatments similarly.

Not to mention how laughable the idea that they are not releasing it because they wouldnt make money is
Any drug company releasing a cure for cancer would make billions and billions.
This thread really is not the place to discuss that though.
