Matthew McConaughey's mother has spoken for the first time about how her husband died during intercourse.

The star's 78-year-old mother, Kay, reveals a string of personal details about her famous son in her new book, I Amaze Myself - including how the actor's father died during sex.

She writes: "On Monday mornings, he and I often said goodbye by making love. One day, all of a sudden, it just happened. I knew that something was wrong, because I didn't hear anything from him. Just nothing. But it was just the best way to go!"

Earlier this year, McConaughey revealed he envisioned his own death in much the same way: "I can't think of a better way to go. I hope my own death is way down the line, but when it happens, that's my preferred exit strategy. But let's not rush it."

Well honestly at the moment im in my death bed im not gonna be asking everyone if there ok!! thats what the will and all of that is for... that very second im on my last breath of air im gonna think about me! and i agree... Death during sex would be pretty damn awesome
