Default Anyone else like Halloween (the holiday) as much as I do?

Well, yes it's early but I 've been seeing a few 'Halloween' items: candy, decorations, etc. in stores even now. Anybody else excited about Halloween 2008?

I love Halloween, but I have to celebrate it in a very elaborate fashion to make it worth it. By this, of course, I mean going to Universal's Halloween Horror Nights! Greatest experience I've ever had at Halloween, hands down!

I love it..Definitely my favorite holiday of the year, and I rarely even do anything for it anymore. I love the weather that it coincides with, too. Christmas is a close 2nd, but I feel cheated if I don't get any snow.

Agreed...Living in Florida most of my life, Universal's Halloween Horror Nights were a must...

They have something similar to that up here in Northern Virginia at Kings Dominion, but I have yet to go in the 2 years being here...I think it'd probably pale in comparison, but maybe I should check it out.

Im looking forward to this year's Halloween because me and my friends will do the same thing we did last year's...head out clubbing in our costumes. My wife and her friends will plan to dress up in Sailor Moon outfits so that should be interesting. I wanted to dress up as the Joker, but I may hold back on that. There may be too many Jokers this year due to the popularity of The Dark Knight.

I love the feeling Halloween gives me. So many great childhood memories.

Its sad though, at least around here. There just isn't as many kids that go trick-or-treating. It has taken some of the fun out of it.

I'm gonna head to Six Flags Fiesta Texas this year, but I don't expect much since Universal Orlando is very tough to beat. Still, I love that parks do this stuff.

I love Halloween, I usually do a lot of events with friends and stuff around it. Love haunted mansions.

I like the Sleepy Hollow, NY events. We did the Halloween Blaze and had to walk in the dark wooded areas with only jack-o-lanterns lit to guide you. My friends and I love scaring people, hiding behind trees and jumping out. It's so cool lol. Some pics...

Halloween has really taken off in the last 15 years.
last year I had a month-long horror film festival, and I can't wait to have another this year. I save all my horror purchases over the course of the year for my film festival.
October is just the best month of the year imo.
all the sports' events + Halloween = the best!

I think that's everywhere man. Here in North Carolina they do a lot of church stuff (not that there's anything wrong with that, probably safer) or in-mall stuff. Surprisingly though, we also have several 'Haunted' attractions around here as well: haunted hayrides, farms, stuff like that...

Nice to see all the responses. yea, I 'geek-out' during Halloween. My small apt. gets filled with all kinds of plastic pumpkins, skeletons, and the like. I think the anticipation is better than the actual night of...IMO. I like watching AMC's 'Monsterfest' and all the Halloween-themed shows, etc. Sometimes it culminates in a downtown 'weekend of ' Halloween bar hopping experience, sometimes it doesn't. Either way this is the best time of the year in my "school year" life (I'm a teacher) it helps with the 'Back-to School' stuff....

Hell yes. I live for the whole season of fall actually. Overcast skies, hoodie weather, autumn colors, can't wait. Get some clove cigs, throw on Type O Negative's 'October Rust' cd, I'm set. I dig that some stores are already gearing up with decorations and such, but it pisses me off when X-mas butts in about mid-October. I wish the whole vibe and weather of autumn was year round myself. And we should get Halloween off!
