Default McCain: Racist, Misogynist, and Homophobic. YAY!!!

Here is an interesting article that I about McCain's history of racist, misogynist, and homophobic jokes and comments. Apparently he has a long track record with this sort of thing, which isn't surprising considering just a few weeks ago he was in some hot water for joking about entering his wife in a bikini contest: apparently he only sees women as sex objects.

Here is a nice quote from the article:

Quote:
McCain loved to make African Americans, Vietnamese, Gay citizens, Hispanics the blunt of his racist jokes with friends at Bullfeathers, using blunt language like "fag", "queer", "nigger", "spic", "wetback" or "gook" in his jokes at Bullfeathers. Yet McCain lies to the public and now claims that he has no racist instincts. Yesterday, one of his campaign managers, Senator Lindsay Graham(R-SC) also lied to the nation about McCain's long history of racism on FOX NEWS SUNDAY claiming that McCain hasn't a "racist bone in his body". Yet the jokes of John McCain and his voting record on civil rights issues certainly prove that Senator Graham is clearly not telling the truth.
I find this unfortunate considering just recently I, an Obama supporter, was trying to convince my girlfriend that McCain was not all of these things, which she thought he was because of his age. I thought she was being rather ignorant and I chastised her; apparently she was right.

lol...

Nothing wrong with jokes that celebrate our difference and promote diversity...

What did the lesbian-american say to the gay-american who was sitting in the train next to an african-american on his way to an undocumented-american rally to protest against the old white guy?

I don't know, either, but it sure isn't as funny as it could be without the euphamisms.

I like it when anybody makes fun of any group or individual.

All I know is that if my stepdad said something like that about my mother I would probably have to smack him upside the head. Joke or not. It would maybe be acceptable in a small group, where everyone knows everyone. But in a large audience for the sake or laughs and some hooting and hollering, that is just tacky.

I'm just surprised, er...maybe not...that this same person didn't make a thread proclaiming obama a racist for spewing the 'typical white person' comment.

If Mccain said anything close to that, you can bet it'd be front page news!

This just in! Racist presidential candidate John Mccain claims all black people are typical!

Tacky? maybe...

does it prove he is a sexist, misogynist? Absolutely not...

That is a good indicator of your intelligence.

Considering your psn screenname is puppypuncher, I don't think you have much leg to stand on. If there is one thing worse than telling a joke and using politically-incorrect language in context, its violence against animals.

Why do you hate innocent animals?

I'm pretty sure that you don't get the meaning of what I said at all and I am very sure that you completely misjudge my intelligence.

I will spell it out, as I obviously over-estimated the intelligence of some readers:

I think that all people are equal and nobody needs, deserves, or should expect special protection from anyone. Everyone should be comfortable enough with themselves to not worry about what others say or if someone uses words that are frowned upon by the PC police to describe them. It is all so very empowering to have a legion of politically-correct drones to defend you from any and all assailants.

An asshole in Texas just got sentenced to three years in prison for throwing a puppy down a flight of stairs at an apartment complex. The puppy died from the injuries.

Wow, you are really streching for things aren't you? Is "puppy" an offensive term? I actually love dogs, puppies ecspecially. That is why I used the name, it's funny while being harmless.

Unless your people have a history of being beatin and hung while being called "puppies," then I will change it.

That will never fly with PETA... mind you don't get a bucket of blood tossed on you in a very public photo opportunity.

"Take that, you puppy beater!" - PETA

There is nothing funny about punching a puppy, and the fact that you find humor in something like that is far more disgusting than any joke McCain has ever told

I honestly don't think this is any more/less racist than Obama's "Typical White Person" remark. Neither one of these guys are perfect, and if you're going to grade them both on what they have said in the past, you have to keep the same standards for both.
