Default Cars of HDD

What kind of cars do people here drive and how do you drive them?

I have a Mazdaspeed 6 that I have owned for about 4 weeks now. It's a badass car, fast as hell with some quirky reliability issues that I hope don't bite me in the ass.
I'm still getting used to the clutch on it so I've not experienced the "full potential" yet, but I did lay some rubber from a redlight for the first time last night.
I was going to pick my girlfriend up, and there was a taxi that was racing me from light to light down this long obnoxious stretch of road. I was ignoring him, but eventually got sick of it, and at the last red light launched from about 3000RPM. The tires squawked pretty hard but the car is AWD so it launched like a fricking rocket, I shifted to 2nd gear around 5000RPM and it took off like I've never felt a car take off before, I was giggling like a schoolgirl as I tore away from him (All within the speed limit obviously...)

EDIT: So that mods don't potentially get upset, keep discussion about legal topics or at least keep it abstract enough so that we don't know exactly how fast you were going ; )

I think there was a car thread that faded out eventually, but was mostly based on gas mileage?? Here comes the history:

My main drive is a 2004 Land Rover Discovery, never have had a reliability issue and I love it (except the gas). I love driving it in the snow, and going Off-Roading a little bit. I also drive around a girly 98' civic that I borrow from my sister from time to time (when longer road trips are needed).

Past vehicles: my first car was a 91' Chevy Blazer S10 Four Door, spray painted blue (peeling and rusty too ). I drove the shit out of that thing, it finally ended it's life by driving it 45 down a dirt trail lined in alders and doing a little sliding...I had done the drive many times before but this time I chose a different line to start sliding and forgot about the honda civic sized boulder covered in sticker bushed on the left side...Needless to say I hit that and launched it about 15 feet down the path, it was amazing. I got much more then the $900 I payed for it . I also lost my keys snowboarding once and had to leave it at the Pass for 2 weeks, went up, the guy who drove me up lost his keys that day so I drove 6 people and 6 boards back in it , what a cramp.

Second whip was an 01' GMC Sierra RWD, sick truck. It is my dad's, but he liked driving a car for his commute so I got it. The ladies in HS loved it, and I loved drifting it on the country roads here. It was quick as hell for a truck too, beat anyone I knew cept for my friend with the 02' Rex.

Thirdsies, 95 Merc Sable...That's really all I have to say about that thing....

Haha, yea, 4WD/AWD is really nice up here in the rain/snow/ice that we get. And half of the driveways in my area could really be considered rally courses

Lol, yeah, a modded STi would probably outrun my MS6. But the back seat of MS6 is real comfy ; )
My MS6 also has aftermarket exhaust, CAI and BPV/BOV, so it is probably sitting right around 300HP with conservative gains from those parts. MS6 is 3600lbs, STI is 3300lbs. I might get if you had a fat guy in the passenger seat

PS: That big bridge thing on the rear of your car where a spoiler should go looks kinda funny

2000 Pontiac Firebird Formula stock.

8 years later, it can still hold it's own on the street and strip.

2007 (007) Mazda MX-5... Silver and Black... Best of both worlds, it's considered a "Sports Car" yet still gets 32 miles per Gallon. If they made a Hybrid Miata I may just shit my pants.
