Well... not exactly recent - my last cool download was from Punk Software. I don't have a Mac, but I love the navigation bar at the bottom middle of the screen. Punk Software has a program called Rocket Dock, and it installs a Mac type navigation bar on the Windows Desktop. It's highly customizable, and I love it. You can get it at www.rocketdock.com

It's a program developed by an Apple fanboy and fangirl as a peace offering from the Mac community in order to help end O/S persecution (if you believe in all that peace-making shit).

That's a fantastic find, and it's completely free. I just downloaded it - thanks. I got a friend who bought a Mac just for that bar. This could have saved him 2 grand. Anybody else got some cool Windows downloads?

Doesn't Safari do that??? Safari you can get as a free download from Apple.com like you can itunes and Quicktime. I thought it could put the same "Mac look" onto your PC.

(Speaking of Quicktime.. does anybody even USE Realtime anymore???) it's either Windows Media or Quicktime.. Realtime is like that annoying AOL icon that wont concede the obvious that time has passed them by and they should simply go away.

I suggest Blackbox for Windows. It's amazingly simplistic. http://www.boxshots.org/screenies/4946.png

This program that Trekker mentioned is pretty good, but I'll check that out too - thanks. You don't have to install Safari to get it do you? I don't like Safari.

Ah, very interesting! At first glance it looked like a product from Star Dock. Thanks for the share.

Yea that's cool. Without Mac's, there would be no Windows - right? Actually Trekker posted a thread last month that gave me this idea. One of the programs he uses is called Home Inventory which I snatched-up for myself. I figured there must be so much more out there, and the good stuff is hard to find.
