Default How do you feel about your EX GF/BF (s)

Do you think it is possible to stay friends with an ex?

I hate my last girlfriend's guts. I have never stayed friends with an ex-girlfriend. I find that weird in a general sense that two people can come together and share an x amount of time together. They become infatuated or in love-- breakup, then never speak again. I do understand why, but it's still odd.

well, up until this year, i'd never gone out again w/ an ex. once it was done, it was done.

the few times i'd tried to be friends, i'd end up with bullshit drama and people trying to use me. on top of that, most of my break ups are messy (no way, huh, wouldn't have guessed it! lol).

my current gf was w/ me for 4 months, then breakup for about a year and a half before trying again. it does work better now, and that year and a half showed me how crappy other people can be. sometimes, it works out that way, i suppose.

but for the most part: if they're an ex, they can go rot in hell for all i'm concerned.

Depends on the situation. I have been able to stays friends with my Son's Mother after we split. I'm still friends with a few of my XGFs too. Sometimes breakups are mutual and its easy to stay friends. Sometimes they hurt and you need your space for now or forever.

I'm going through a breakup right now with a girlfriend of 4 years. Definitely strange territory. It's amazing how you see someone in a different light when you're no longer with them. You start to wonder if they changed since you've been apart, or if you were just too blind to see it while you were with them. This is my first ex that I'm going to try and be friends with. It's been hard though, that's for sure. You know what? N8boss is right. Exes can go to hell

yeah, Ben, you totally see the other side, the shit you ignored/got used to, in a much different light. and then the shit that always bothered you, that they'd never fix, uh oh, they can't depend on someone else now, and are going to better themselves or fix their own damn problems....it's like, why couldn't you have done that before?

/really really loathes a few of my ex's. but the downward spiral a few of them have taken makes me very pleased.

My last girlfriend was the most annoying person I've ever known. I went six months without talking to her, and she still thought we were together.

She's an idiot. I don't hate her, I just could care less to know her. All of her e-mails go straight to my SPAM folder.

You're preaching the gospel right now, Nate. As for the downward spiral of your exes, that sounds good. I'll take two please, my good sir!

Yeah, I have to agree. I think they can all go to hell. That's what hurts the most is seeing them acting differently and then you realize they aren't acting differently, you just don't give them a free pass anymore. The best part of the whole breakup even though it may hurt at first, is when they find someone else who is ugly and doesn't have anything going for them compared to you. Don't care if this sounds conceited but she went from a wealthy person who made sure she was always taken care of and she got what she wanted, a person with goals and a bright future to as tobacco chewing hillbilly with no air condition. I bet she's sweating in this southern heat. HAHA- that's what makes my day.

I am friends with my latest ex. She's amazing. We talked on the phone the other night. Still, I know she and I would never work.

I hope my ex--who I dated for three years--is happy and doing well. She's married and has a kid.

I dont think I keep in touch with any ex's. It's funny when you think about it, you go from being with someone who you really enjoyed being with and always think about to absolutely not being able to stand them and wondering how you were ever attracted to them? It's amazing isn't it.

I could less give two shits, especially with how they're doing in life. The same applies for co-workers as well, they could drop dead for all I care. I'll never understand the type of mindset that clings to past acquaintances. Seems pretty pathetic to me.

I can see that...

You get in a fight and then you say, "I'm closing this thread as it's gone off topic and has deteriorated into insults beign thrown back and forth. I will discuss with the other moderators if we will ever open it up again".

Then you also say, "I'm also issuing a warning for name calling, please refer to the rules for more information".

My last ex's mindframe was that she needed to be friends with all her ex's because she didn't want to lose touch with anyone in her life. I drew the line when her cell would ring at 2 and 3 in the morning.

On another note, why does it seem like if a girl is single, they still have that ex hanging around in the background? Guess I'm still bitter...
