There are too many serial shows on TV today. It really makes it hard to jump into a show when you missed the first few weeks. You are completely lost. I'd like to watch a show that had an over all story arc, but you could watch most of the episodes out of order and feel like you weren't missing something.

Funny thing about that.. my 4 favorite shows on TV right now are serials..

LOST, Heroes, Nip Tuck & 24

all serial tv shows... there's just so many ways to keep up or even Start from scratch if anyone wants to... rent them at Blockbuster, sign them out at the Library, watch the 2 or 3 three shows you just missed online or off Tivo or off On-Demand... they're always available.

I've gotten so used to a continuing story that standalone episodes are completely dull and pointless most of the time to me I like the cliffhanger and the anticipation of seeing the result in the next episode.. makes catching it more important then standalones you could see or miss and it wouldn't matter.

Ten years ago / In 1972, a crack commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn't commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the Los Angeles underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of fortune. If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire... I forget the rest?

But they were last seen cruising in this van sometime around 1987?
