The thing is that Chuck Liddell would beat the shit out of all of us combined.

True, but he is a pro fighter and that's like saying you can't comment on pro NBA, NFL etc because they are better than us.. of course they are in their own league, but they are being compared to other pros.

Nope, didn't watch it Saturday - the card was not great - and while he can easily beat any of us in a fight - the right hand will kill ya - the fact that he lost to Evans is pretty bad.

I read somewhere that his poker skills were awful. Just how bad is he, really?

well, he got lucky a few times and doubled up, but it was funny whenever he hit a hand he would drop his head in his arms giving it away to the pros. Then he actually had an ok stack from getting lucky, but threw it all away on an open ended straight draw after someone raised him after the flop. I guess you would have to see it but it was pretty bad. He said he was just there for fun and to meet some pros. I guess when your him $10k is nothing.

His poker play was hilarious. I actually DVR'ed his clips during the Main Event to show my friends. The whole hand with Mark Seif was ridiculous (especially when he hits the deuce...classic).

In relation to MMA, Wanderlei Silva will be LHW champ by year's end (as long as he keeps his head shaved...haha). I also hear Liddell wants a shot at Anderson Silva at LHW to redeem himself. That fight would put him in retirement.

Machida will be the LHW champ. Wanderlei is fighting Rampage for the third time I heard possibly in december. I think Rampage takes it this time.

Liddell is still a great striker. His fucking problem is that anyone in this thread who follows mma knows his damn gameplan. He hasnt evolved at all. He is the LHW version of Matt Hughes. His camp has to stop relying on his one hit knockouts and get him adjusted if he plans to stay around.

Also, he might want anderson silva but I doubt the UFC would let Chuck do it unless they know for sure if Chuck loses that he is calling it quits. He is still the top 3 in money makers for the ufc. These losses are hurting him.

One thing I have to say is Greg Jackson deserves a hell of respect for the job his camp has been doing. They have refocused GSP, Jardine and Rashad have both beat Liddell to score their most notable wins, Nate Marquardt is looking better than ever, and finally Karo eventhough he backed out due to injury is looking to be in the best conditioning shape ever.

I was really bored with that fight. I was hoping someone would just fucking snipe Evans for doing nothing the entire fight. This playing with his nipples bullshit was retarded too. I mean this guy had an obvious case of Gynocomastia (breast tissue growth as a result from abuse of Anabolic/Androgenic Steroids) before. He obviously got an op to have it cut out. I guess he wanted to show the world.

I was hoping Liddell would knock his head off.

dunno because GSP did it too and GSP i feel is simply a freak of nature. I really dont see steroids being an issue for either of them. Phil Baroni claimed they had female hormones and it has caused them to have bitch tits. I could be wrong but anyway here is Rashads reply to this

"Georges St. Pierre was the first do it, and it's just sort of an inside joke," Evans said.

Evans said St. Pierre had heard it was supposed to bring good luck -- according to some ancient fighting myths, anyway. And if there's anything the New Mexico-based Team Jackson group knows, it's unity. Led by famed fight strategist and head trainer Greg Jackson, the team has created a sense of brotherhood among team members Evans, St. Pierre, Keith Jardine, Nate Marquardt, Joey Villasenor and others.

"Georges said it was supposed to good luck or something, so I said, 'Cool, alright,'" Evans said, laughing.

Machida, the next LHW champ? Please, let's hope you're wrong about that. While I respect his counter-attack fighting style, he has to be one of the most boring fighters to watch. As for Rampage-Wanderlei III, I really have to believe Wanderlei is in Rampage's head. He gave Rampage probably the two worst beatings of his career (although you could argue Shogun).

Regarding Greg Jackson, I believe he has one of the most successful camps in MMA, but I really don't credit him too much for GSP's success. GSP is my favorite fighter, and I think his success is due to his natural athletic ability and his rotating training regimine (training with a plethora of specialist coaches). His other fighters have seen mixed success.
