That's not right. I think you should edit or remove that statement as it is a racial term. I find it offensive honestly as I am hispanic. I do not put corn, beans or anything that other mexicans do in my food(s) so that statement is wrong anyways by the way. Also, it is as if someone were to bring up other foods that could be aimed racially at others. That would not be right either.

That statement may have been somewhat thoughtless, but aren't you taking it just a teensy-weensy bit too seriously?

I love random posts! I myself am extremely bored at work right now. I'm stuck at a job that is extremely easy for me and is not challenging. Unfortunately, there isn't a whole lot I can do until Januaryish, of 2009. I'm taking the CAIA in September and that will determine what (if anything) I can do next in the futures business. I'm a futures trader for a medium size hedge fund right now, but I would like to move up at some point. The exam is pretty hard from what I've heard (the study material is pretty straight forward but challenging), has anyone taken this exam before? Or knows anyone who has taken it? I need some words of encouragement or some tips!

As for the family life, I'm not at all opposed to it. My take on it is; if it happens it happens. I would love to have a wife at some point, but I work a lot! I don't want to get a wife at this age and then not be able to spend time with her. Besides, I have to go find another girlfriend first anyway.

Anybody try that new McDonalds breakfast wrap? I don't know what they call it, but the commercial for it has a guy leaving for work, and his wife has a full breakfast on the table for him. He has no time to eat it, so he wraps it all up in the tablecloth. Then, I guess they show how much easier it could be with this massive breakfast wrap from McDonald's. Man is it calling my name right now!

I certainly apologize for offending you or anyone else by that comment. It was just a stupid joke. As a boring white girl, I find that if you can't find something to poke fun at regarding your own race (and sometimes others') it's going to be a looooong life.

With that said, good morning everyone. Who here smokes weed? I took a hit last night and it had the most strange effect on me. It made me so sleepy that I went to sleep before midnight and stayed asleep until after 10am! Needless to say, I'm well rested.

Used to smoke, quit since I've had kids. It was fun at times, but god did it make me the laziest person ever! I didn't want to do jack shit when I smoked, except sit around and maybe watch tv. Made me real sleepy as well.

i've never once smoked weed, or done any hard drugs.

my brother, on the other hand, dealt it in the room next to mine growing up. probably still does. had a sliding window, it was like a drive through, for pot. of course, he's turned out REAL GOOD (ie free ride college drop out, still lives with mom, no chance for a relationship)

I'm an aspiring writer and whenever I smoke it makes me much more creative and inspired to delve deeper into the psyches of the characters. So I don't think everyone who smokes weed should have the lazy / loser stigma attached to them.
