    Adam Yauch, one-third of the pioneering hip-hop group the Beastie Boys, has died at the age of 47, Rolling Stone has learned. Yauch, also known as MCA, had been in treatment for cancer since 2009. The rapper was diagnosed in 2009 after discovering a tumor in his salivary gland.

    ...really hated the drive home from work today. Every station, regardless of format, was playing Beastie Boys. Some were 2-3 deep. ghastly.

    and, regardless of liking the music or not, this should make most of us feel old.

    I listened to them first in grade school, on cassette. I was hooked ever since. Such a bummer that he died at such a young age.
    Did the primary buffer panel just fall off my gorram ship for no apparent reason?!
