Default Philips BDP7501 $150 at Target

Thanks to ultramookie over on avsforums for pointing this sale out. I got the last one in stock at my local Target (though some other Targets nearby show as still in stock) and it even still had a copy of Creed included, though I wouldn't expect all of them to still have it since the promo was discontinued months ago. The price is higher on Target's online store, so you have to go in store to find this price.

I'm not sure how long the sale will last, as the tag didn't mention an end date, but it's the cheapest UHD player by far and seems to have fewer glitches than a lot of the others out there. I had been waiting for a Dolby Vision compatible player, but at this price figured I could enjoy the benefits of UHD discs now and won't feel bad about upgrading to a newer DV-compatible player in a year or so, which is something I couldn't justify doing on the non-DV $300+ players.

Awesome price. Makes me wonder though if it's being discontinued.
I tried to set up a Brickseek search to see if I could help others and target.com has no listing for this player. Do you have the UPC handy?

It's replacement is the 7502, which will support Dolby Vision and is supposed to come out this spring. That one is supposed to cost $300.

The 7501 has limited app support (Netflix and YouTube), but my TV has all the apps I need anyway, so it doesn't matter to me that the player is limited.

    The UPC is 609585249332.

Thanks for the upc jabba - yes, it is regular price at all the ones up this way.

Target's DCPI is 008-06-0003 according to Brickseek.

I tried the 4 corners of the Country and find regular price. Yours might be a very localized offer.

It was listed as $300 on Brickseek for me as well, but in store was $150. That tells me Brickseek isn't reflecting the actual in store price. Meanwhile, Target's own website lists it at $230 with pickup in store, so even Target's own online price wasn't an accurate reflection of the in store price.

My understanding is that it also plays 3D, but some
of the marketing literature forgets to mention this.
