Default Amazon Prime Day 2016 is coming July 12th

This thread is reserved to discuss this year's Amazon Prime Day.
Although not all movie related, it is still a thread about Bargains.

UK's Amazon Prime day is 12 July. Claiming over 100,000 deals and being the biggest global Amazon event ever.

Edit: USA Prime Day July 12th as well.

If anyone thinks a different Forum better suited for this event, let me know. It's not all Home Theater gear, it's not all movies, it's everything!
Last Year I spent a few bucks and lost a lot of sleep on Prime Day. Wasn't as good as it was hyped up to be but still not awful.

The last Prime Day was hyped like the new Black Friday. I don't have the cash to jump on anything that could have big savings (like a 4k projector or TV). If anything, I'll be keeping an eye out for box sets, Criterion titles, and Shout Factory titles.

Which was the first box set. I think it came with a sleeve opening for Skyfall which was not out yet.
There were no digital codes in that set

I wish they offered a disc to digital option on the set, even with 25 movies, you do them all in one swing and pay $25. If you collect promo credits even less than that.

I thought the white box was a cheaper repackage, thus no codes.
I was tempted too on the $90 deal but I tend to have bad luck selling so it would basically be $90 for digital copies as I too already own the white box.

I guess I should mention this as it ties to the James Bond set being super cheap the other day.

If you visit www.amazon.com - it will say how many days left until Prime Day. Click on that region and they have countdown specials. Yesterday was mostly kitchen items, today is jewelry, a watch, golf clubs, luggage and a Garmin fit wrist computer.

Not much different than last year. I bought a couple of movies, a phone car charger and a couple of toys.

I wish Amazon would recognize me as a Prime Member when I login to other Amazon sites.
The X-Files Complete Box Set, which also includes The Event Series is $129.99 CDN on Amazon Canada.

That would be awesome if they did that. I order quite a bit off of Amazon.uk just because you can get blu-ray sets for cheaper on there even with the shipping.

I'll say this...I actually finished 3, I couldn't bring myself to finish 4. It was so boring.

the 55" samsung 4k TV for $650 was tempting, especially with all the coupons and credit i have.
wouldn't have been sub-400$ but couldn't pull the trigger as i'll have to redo my whole entertainment stand

65" or bust for me for my next TV. Not even looking at anything smaller
