Yes it comes across that way, doesn't it...
It is very annoying because I am doing a group order on another forum for both this title and the forthcoming Terminator steel for people who live in the US and other territories outside of Play.com's Euro posting limit.
That said, I have spoken by 'phone to Play.com today and they did say that the price may well go back down again, in maybe even a few days.

Yeah, mine arrived too, complete with dent! Not a fan of their flimsy cardboard packaging.

To be honest, I have found that cardboard envo-pack packaging to be pretty robust. I have done a load of group orders over the past few years with Play.com stuff, and I have not had one dent, and using the same packaging - forwarding on many Steelbooks and Amaray BDs to the US and other territories. To date, I have not had one report of damage. In fact I am currently doing a group order on this Steelbook, plus this week's Terminator Play.com exclusive - mostly US bound.
All the items that I have received via Play.com envo-packs have been pristine. For single items to the US and other territories, I have just lined the interior of the pouch with bubble wrap, otherwise it goes as is.
Is it possible that this could have been damaged in the warehouse or is there clear and visible damage to the envo-pack?
Whatever the cause, it sounds as though you need to be dealing with Play.com returns asap.TV - Pioneer LX6090h 60" 9th Gen Kuro

PQ and AQ are both superb and coming with this steelbook, makes this one helluva buy. Got to be one of the best steelbooks so far in fact.
Me? As you can see, I'm delighted with this steelbook and am having to fight off the temptation to pick up another, especially as I am ordering a load more for a group order.....

I still want a ST steelbook just cause I love ST so much, but as far as collecting any other steelbooks I just refuse to play this ridiculous game where it seems like every other country gets them except for the US.
I mean I think steelbooks are a pretty cool collectable, but the fact that they are still not coming out in the US with any regularity is just ridiculous.
I just don't get it.
With the US dollar tanking, the effort and expense is just stupid imo.
and don't even get me started on how Futureshop and play.com won't even ship to the US.....
It's all just a big joke.

For the people that still play the game enjoy.
I'd rather spend $$ on bfi titles and other imports rather than get ripped off trying to play play the steelbook shuffle.

Actually, there's a couple of early reviews out and it sounds like a winner.
