Warner Bros. Canada Steelbook Wave

hey guys - thought you'd enjoy this very very early heads up. Our friends at bluraysteelbooks are reporting that we will be seeing a wave of Warner Bros steelbooks available to purchase in Canada in the upcoming months.

If this follows the Universal / Paramount / Alliance waves that have gone on, we might expect to see some catalog titles worked in.

FYI, Brana at Futureshop has confirmed the art.

There will be 2 Waves.

Wave 1-already confirmed & art below.

For Wave 2, we get to vote for our Top 5 choices which will then become Steelbooks. Vote ends 9/30. Poll at http://futureshopforums.com/t5/Movies/bd-p/movies
The poll is on right hand side towards middle/bottom of page.

Choices are:

The Departed one is nice. I LOVE Superman, so despite the fact that the movie was subpar, I know I'll get it. I am a little disappointed though that they used some old art. I was hoping they'd provide a cover not yet seen. Oh well, still very cool that they're doing this-hopefully it means other catalog titles by other studios also have a chance for SB treatment!:P

They are nothing but repeats of past Steelbooks Blu-ray and dvd releases. Also i wonder if the Superman Returns will contain the high def audio track or just the plain old Dolby

Uhm is this going to be available on amazon ca? I might get Dark Knight and Departed and then trade away with my existing Departed blu.

Yes, those titles are released in steelbook. Note that there is no blu banner at the top, so they will be slightly different...but still....

Interesting. I voted The Matrix since that has yet to get any type of steelbook treatment. At least Batman Begins got released with The Dark Knight in Germany.

I like the Departed, 300, and Dark Knight cases. Seeing as the Dark Knight is the only one I have a Blu Ray of I might have to get some upgrades for my existing 300 and Departed HD DVDs.
