Default Resident Evil Steelbooks (1-4) Walmart Exclusive

Thanks to kaliraver for this heads up...

Walmart in the United States will be receiving the following steelbooks on 8/31 (this Tuesday)

    Resident Evil
    Resident Evil: Apocalypse
    Resident Evil: Extinction
    Resident Evil: Degeneration (animated)

These steelbooks are exactly the same as those previously released by Future Shop
in Canada. Meaning that they are BLU-RAY SIZED.

Some folks have already provided pictures of these steelbooks with the Walmart cardboard and price stickers (I would imagine some stores broke the street date)

The best thing? These steelbooks should cost you around $15 each.

I think the price is right.

1- haha to the canadian scalpers who were trying to get 2 arms and 2 legs.
2- god damn it, now we'll have USA scalpers trying to do the same damn thing.
3- that's actually pretty cool, i'm a huge fan of the RE series. that said, i already have all 4, and i don't want to repurchase them, just for packaging.

Fact: There's no such thing as a theatrical collection, unless you own actual theaters. No one cares about the notes or sort options in your collection. It only shows us what people can steal by breaking into your homes, you ninnies. No one cares about your slipcover collection, or that you have 10 slips for one movie and play dress up with it.

#1 - have you seen the prices they are going for on e-bay? holy cow - I saw this coming though, just not at Walmart. Disney part 1...yet again. lol

#2 - big time. Then the ebay guys will have too much stock and sell them @ $10 each. lol.

#3 - I'm just happy that they are not DVD sized steelbooks.

easy profiteering here, yes, but i'm not gonna touch it. i think preying on people isn't cool. lucking out, and buying something that turns valuable is one thing, but buying out entire store inventories just to make a few bucks is douchey. pass costs through, do people favors, don't just be greedy, folks.

    ah well.

no, i haven't seen the ebay prices. i'll go check it out.

Sweet. Will definitely get the first and maybe Degeneration.
One thing they do now, I noticed, is they have these platform wars, like "Xbox is better than Playstation." That's nerdy to me. What the fuck is the matter with you?

I'll pass just because there's no guarantee that Afterlife will have a steelbook. That's why I didn't buy the Pirates of the Caribbean steelbooks at Best Buy. Plus I put Extinction into a double case to hold the GameStop exclusive bonus disc.

I bought the set of 4 today as well. Can anyone confirm that these are rare/limited or are they a general release with usual restock?
