I'm tired of these percentages. We got it, Blu-ray won. I want to see hard player sales, standalone and PS3s, and software sales.
It seems all we get is this comparison garbage that tells us nothing. Any links? |

You can find some of that information around...like PS3 numbers...but don't ever expect hard numbers on a regular basis. I mean...did we ever get those on DVD?
Not really. Otherwise, search for NPD...at least on the video game side, those get leaked out pretty regularly. Otherwise, you're not going to get hard data on a regular basis...at least not for free. |

Well, hope they're able to release them again. We see video game numbers out on a monthly basis (if you want those PS3 numbers) because NPD allows them to put it out there, to a certain limitation. If Bits gets it, then obviously they have such an arrangement too.

Blu-ray sales are tanking along with HDDVD. Sales are down dramatically in the past month in comparison to DVD sales. It's not gaining on DVD, it's losing badly to DVD and digital downloads.

I believe he asked you to back your bullshit up. Bill Hunt didn't say the sales were tanking. You did. Now back your statement up or let's just call it trolling. |

The industry doesn't want us to see the hard numbers, because it would reveal how horrible they are. Especially the weekly software sales, where on average just a few thousand units move. Just know that if Sony had anything to boast about, we would have been reading press releases about any milestones. Last I checked Saw 4 was the best selling HDM title of 2008, and it has sold thousands of copies (Any updates?). That info says enough right there for people interested in software figures.
Oh and Bill Hunt only leaked the NPD numbers that week because it made HD DVD look bad. Otherwise he would not have posted them.

I am also quite sure that ending the BYGO offers have not helped either.

Just look at the charts on this site. http://charts.highdefdigest.com/history.aspx Top 100 for Bluray has drop from the average ranking of 200 on 2/14 to ranking of 700 as of today 3/10. The ranking is relative to DVD and HDDVD sales. Sales for Blu-ray are tanking. |

And why are you worried about Bill Hunt posting the numbers. What are you really worried about? Are you so hurt by HD DVD losing the war that you want everyone else to suffer as much as you? |

Ask Bill Hunt to post those numbers he has been doing before. Why suddenly stop? Where's the Blu-ray player sales numbers from NPD? Where are the Blu-ray software sales numbers from VideoScan? |

yeah but...the recession, no movies in the first quarter, credit card debt from Christmas, Gov. Spitzer did enjoy renting the Ring...

Gov Spitzer should've opted for DVD instead of High Class DVD. Could've saved himself a bundle.
