I wonder if they'll upgrade people caught in transition (confirmed orders then cancelled) like they did with the A2's when they ran out. That's how I got my A3 for $99 with 10 freebies

Exactly. If they restock or ship alternate players then in my opinion Toshiba is still fighting. If they don't this whole thing could have been a firesale. Hopefully we will find out soon.

Well there was that 3rd week of march rumor the other day that they would stop with HD DVD. There are still 5 weeks till then though.

So how can we find you if they are restocking or just dumping? Are they obligated with an answer if I go there tomorrow and ask? I just wish the truth be told but I don't think big retailers would do such a thing knowingly hiding it from their customers. Aren't there laws against this?

I went to Sam's C last night and they had a bunch of the A3 (actually D3 with the HDMI cable included) for $149. Excellent deal! I paid $199 for mine but I got 11 HD DVDs for free from Best Buy.
